Drop-Off or Full-Service Catering?

Updated November 5, 2026

What Is the Difference Between Drop-Off and Full-Service Catering?

Drop-off catering delivers ready-to-serve food in trays or boxes; you set up, serve and clean up, so it costs much less, often $15–$30 per person. Full-service catering adds staff who set up, serve, clear and clean, plus rentals and often a bar, usually doubling or tripling the per-person price. Pick drop-off for casual events under about 50 guests.
